A Be-U-Tee-Full! Review

So today I'm going to be reviewing a fabulous little children's book, one that I have to agree with the authors PR agent on, this book should be in the hands of every little girl in the nation. SO I guess you already know my thoughts on this one and I can just walk away from my computer right? UM...NO! lol.  Let's get to it.  

About the Book

One of Cali’s bestie friends, Lyvia, is feeling pretty icky. Lyvia had to get glasses, and she is sure the glasses make her look yucky. Lyvia does not even want to wear them, but Cali has a better idea, and a great lesson to teach her bestie: you are be-u-tee-full for simply being you

My Thoughts on this great Book! 

So first off like I said, this little book is fabulous.  But I want to break it down a little bit and tell you why I think it's so amazing.  I'm going to start with the plot, then move on to writing style, illistrations, and finally the book as a whole.  

The Plot: Be-U-Tee-Full!'s plot is one that is perfect for the age group this book is meant for.  It talks about being beautiful of course and how everyone is beautiful in their own way.  The little girls in this story were so refreshing to me.  They weren't prissy little girls who think that only they are the pretty ones.  No, the main character told her friend that she was beautiful even though the little girl thought since she had glasses that she wasn't.  I loved the meaning of this story and the message it can give to little girls out there in the world that think they aren't Be-U-Tee-Full!

The Writing: I think the writing style of this book is perfect for the age group.  Little girls like to read things that are easy to read at that age.  If the images don't draw them in then the words will do the trick. I think the author, Journi Roe did a fantastic job connecting with the characters and conveying her message through the writing and words of this book. 

Over All: I love this little book! My little girl loves this little book and she has read it over 6 times already.  I also can't wait to share it with everyone that I can share it with.
